Get ready to be inspired by Shane Arcadia – YMCA's Senior Youth Program Director who’s about to embark on an extraordinary 100-mile run in just 24 hours on September 23!
This isn’t just any run – Shane will be running through each YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap County center and camp in a single day to rally support for the Y’s teen leadership programs, including the Counselors in Training program, starting at the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale and ending at the Gordon Family YMCA in Sumner.
“I’m doing this run because, most importantly, it’s near and dear to my heart. My son, who’s a teenager in the [Counselors in Training] program represents what they can do in the program and the growth,” explains Arcadia.
Each mile Shane completes is one step closer for a teen in Pierce and Kitsap County to find support, confidence, and belonging.
