Making Connections, Growing Community
Did you know that the Harvard Graduate School of Education reported that 36% of all Americans—including 61% of young adults and 51% of mothers with young children—feel “serious loneliness”? In addition, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) also reported that more than 30% of adults aged 45 and older feel lonely, and nearly 25% of adults aged 65 and older are considered socially isolated.
When you join the Y, you open the door to reaching a higher level of connection in your community and find a new sense of belonging among your fellow members based on your interests and experiences.
