The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties (YMCAPKC) is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest facility, located on the Bremerton waterfront, on October 24, 2024. A ribbon-cutting celebration will be hosted in partnership with Sound West Group (SWG) on opening day from 1-2 p.m. at the new facility and will be open to a members of the community.

Polarization, is the division into two fundamentally opposed groups or sets of ideas, is a common and natural part of our society. This understanding is shared by many researchers, scholars, and philosophers, connecting us to a larger societal phenomenon.

On October 26, the Morgan Family YMCA will host the much-anticipated Annual Spooky Looky Swim Meet, welcoming 175 talented swimmers from 13 teams across the region.   This is more than just a fun event—it’s a serious competition where athletes are eyeing regional and national qualifications to ultimately make their mark on the big stage.

BeBefore taking on their role as an Engagement Representative at the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties, Annee Appelgate was a member of the Y. They actively participated in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and successfully lost over 25 pounds.
