Unleashed participants run the steps at the Stadium High School football field

Published June 3, 2024

Every year, fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and community members take on the iconic stairs of Stadium High School for Unleashed at Stadium Bowl. This event will push one's limits and focus on health and wellness while giving back to the community. Unleashed is perfect for those looking to push their physical boundaries and train for something unique this summer.

Training Tips

Here are a few training tips to get you prepared for Unleashed at Stadium Bowl:

  1. Run the Stairs Before the Event: We are hosting four Saturday practices in July from 7-10am before Unleashed on August 4.
  2. Cardio Training: Having a strong cardiovascular system will help with endurance levels throughout the climb. This can be accomplished by running, cycling, or high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
  3. Strength Training: Strengthening your legs and core will give you the boost you need to complete the race. Squats, lunges, and planks are excellent exercises to build those muscle groups.
  4. Flexibility and Balance: Add yoga or stretching to your routine to improve your flexibility and balance; this can help prevent injuries during the climb.
  5. Nutrition and Hydration: Use a balanced diet rich in proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbs to fuel your body. As you are leading up to the event, it’s especially important to stay hydrated.
